Sure, tonight, the US will either elect its first female vice-president or African-American president, but apparently there’s been another “first” tonight.
CNN claims to be the first television network to air a live hologram.
That’s right. Just like Star Wars.
Reporter Jessica Yellin, in Chicago, checks in with host Wolf Blitzer in CNN’s New York studios.
The picture is choppy and grainy, but this is really quite amazing. I’m sure Blitzer’s reaction to the whole thing sounds a lot like reaction to early live television.
Kudos to CNN for their amazing use of technology in coverage of this election – first with the Magic Wall and now this.
Update: Apparently technology is not quite there yet. A great example of TV trickery. Don’t believe everything you see.
